Baked Figs & Goat Cheese Early Fall Recipe

Fall is upon us here in the Pacific North West US and Canada which amps up Vata (Air, Ether). It's time to start baking and cooking and eating less raw foods to balance our inner elements with the weather.
Figs are in season at Whole Foods Canada and United States right now even though my friend’s figs in Oregon still have 2 weeks to go. I love figs; so much can be done with them. But let's start with this recipe because it's simple and I want you to try it. This one is great for minimalists and kid cooks. A super healthy, satisfying snack and or meal, so put some figs in your cart next time you're at Whole Foods or wherever.
As many Large Figs as you want
1 package Herbed or Plain Goat Cheese
Optional: Balsamic Vinegar
Rinse and slice in half as many figs as you want. Place in shallow baking pan. Drizzle with olive oil or butter and if you like, balsamic. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes. Remove and Top with herbed goat cheese. Allow it to melt and cool. Satisfying, seasonal and delicious. – SV
